about us

I want to thank you for taking the time to read this blog and for being a part of our special journey.  Hopefully you will relate to, find solace in, or just be amused by the content, but most importantly, I hope this blog makes you feel less alone if you are struggling with conception too.

Back to us….

I will start off by letting you know we are a relativly normal couple and this is just the begining of our (hopefully very short) TTC journey!  I am 28 years old with no known fertility issues (labs, u/s, and saline sono all clear), and my husband is 29, with one very big fertility issue….*Klinefelter’s Syndrome.  He is super cute, very funny, and he is my best friend, he just can’t get me preggers….hence the need for us to be using Donor Sperm (known as DS from here on out) and ART (Assisted Reproductive Technoloy).

We have been married 6 blissful, childless years, and we would love to finally bring a baby into our little family.  Finances have played a large role in why we waited so long to start trying but now that everything is lining up, we are ready to dive in head first and pray for the best!  I will say though that our 3 fur children have helped fill the void for a while, but there is only so much you can teach a dog haha.

So, this is the start of our journey.  We have a plan, we have a terrfic RE (reproductive endocronologist) and it’s time to make a baby!

* Klinefelter’s syndrome is a condition that occurs in men who have an extra X chromosome in most of their cells. The syndrome can affect different stages of physical, language and social development. The most common symptom is infertility….They often don’t make as much of the male hormone testosterone as other males.
